Wedding Gallery
Now, I’m not going to profess that I’m a vastly experienced wedding photographer, its not my day job and I’m not booked up all summer long with shoots every weekend, however . . . . . .
You’ll see from this gallery that capturing that special moment during a wedding is something I’m more than capable of, and I perform the role as more of a ‘package’ rather than just the ceremony.
Firstly, a wedding takes planning, as does the photography. We work with the principal guests to get them comfortable in front of a camera, stop them blinking (that’s you Andy !) and make it all more familiar so its not something new on the big day.
We’ll come to the ceremonial practices and venues where we can and liaise with officiating and venue staff to smooth any issues before the day. On the day itself we are there for the Bride and Groom from early on, capturing hair and makeup and the build to the ceremonies, following the Bride all the way to the wedding itself – but with some sensitivity to their needs. I have a very able assistant who does the same with the Groom (or Partner – whatever the relationship). There is so much fun and emotion captured in the build up – something that those there often forget, and the partner would never see.
We both dress and act as much as possible as guests (just with good cameras), following the day and the ceremonial events as they happen. Weddings are special (and expensive) events so we don’t try to hog the principal guests for too long, ensuring we get the formals if that is what is requested. There is always a plan agreed with the Bride (and Groom – not that he has much of a say!) though we are flexible to changes, we are at your disposal and confident in being willing and able to support what you need.
Lastly, what we offer is NOT on the clock, nor is it subject to a ‘shot count’. We document what is there, and support arranging shots, but not forcing things too much. The day has to be about the Bride and Groom and the guests enjoying themselves, its not a day long photoshoot where everything is scripted and timed to a photographic schedule. Capturing the day and those precious moments is the outcome. If you want broader samples, or more information, just get in touch. If you want some references, these can be supplied too.
